How to Measure (Ready to wear Collection)

Chest Around

Run the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest, slipping the tape under your armpits and over the shoulder blades. Let the arms hang down, and stand in a relaxed posture.  Ensure the tape is firm, but not tight.

Neck Around

Stand straight and relaxed.  Place the measuring tape around the neck at the height where the collar normally sits.  The tape should rest lightly on the skin, not tight.  Add a 1/2 inch to the measurement for comfort.

Waist Around

Run the measuring tape around the fullest part of the belly.  This is often at the level of the belly button.  Relax and ensure the tape is firm, but not tight.

Arm Length

Your arm length will consist of two measurements, your sleeve length and length from your shoulder to the center of the shirt yoke (split yoke). If you do not own a shirt with a split yoke you may measure from start of your shoulder to the center of your back along the curve of your shoulder as shown.

First measure your sleeve length. Start from the spot where the shoulder meets the arm.  This is where the sleeve seam normally sits.  Run the measuring tape down along the arm to the center of part of the palm, this is your sleeve length. Now measure from the same spot you started where the shoulder meets the arm and measure along the curve of your shoulder to your center of your shirt yoke (split yoke). Add the sleeve length measurement together with the shoulder to center yoke measurement and this will give you the total arm length.

Additional Measurements (Made to Measure Members)

Shoulder Width

Place the start of the measuring tape at the edge of the shoulder where the yoke of the shirt starts.  This is the point where the shoulder meets the arm. Run the tape over the shoulder’s curve to the edge of the other shoulder.

Shirt Length

This measurement tells us how long you want your shirt to be.   Put the start of the measuring tape at the base of the neck, and measure down to where you want the shirt finish.  This is usually the point pass the buttocks.

Bicep Around

Measure round the bicep at its fullest point.  Stay relaxed, no need to flex.

Wrist Around

Run the measuring tape around your wrist bone.  Make sure the tape is firm but not tight, and round up to the nearest quarter inch.  If you have a large watch, may want to increase this by another 0.25 or 0.5 inches.  We will add 2.25 inches to this measurement when calculating the circumference of the cuff.
